Music is one of the deepest things in life and a true lover of music will go to any length to bask in the euphoria of good music. Good music abound, but the right channel of the music business is still largely missing in our society here in Nigeria. Understanding the act, art and craft isn’t one that would come easy.

APPLAUSE 1884 MEDIA is a new artiste management company which seeks to handle and advise old and emerging artistes about their music and the business involved.

Like everything else in the music business, the roles of the artiste management are changing. In good old days, artiste management largely concerned itself with helping artistes with whom they worked get record deals, acting as a liaison between the label and the artiste.

Today, the roles and functions of artiste management are different. A more important function is developing and unlocking values for the artiste, otherwise called business development.

One major problem that has plagued the music industry for far too long is that most artiste managers/managements are never ready for business development. Most have no proper understanding of the conversion of music to money is of course, a radical oversimplification.

At APPLAUSE 1884 MEDIA we have a full understanding of human behaviour as regards music, a crucial subject usually overlooked by most other firms.

APPLAUSE 1884 MEDIA is headed by Wale Applause (@waleapplause01 on twitter who is a guru in management and currently manage the act Lil Kesh of YAGI records) and Olusola Adeogun (@shosleek on twitter), a top Radio and creative head (City 105.1 FM Lagos) whose knowledge in the media spans across production, scripting, branding and also with ten years experience in media and the new media.

With very vast knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian music scene, both have come together to put a new lease of life to challenges faced by most talents as they seek their way into stardom.

APPLAUSE 1884 MEDIA as an Artiste/Talent/Event management firm will handle full management which includes promotions, branding, marketing and a lot more for whichever label or artiste they work with.
