THE ROTATION OF THE RIVERS WEST SENATORIAL SEAT BETWEEN THE KALABARI, ORASHI AND BONNY CAN NOT BE THWARTED BY THE GREED OF CERTAIN PERSONS.

In the wisdom of the founding fathers of the
Rivers West senatorial zone, they had an
understanding that, In respect of the
delineation which placed the Kalabari, Orashi
and Bonny together in one senatorial district,
there should be a rotation between the 3
ethnic groups in order to make for peaceful
coexistence, equity and to ensure even
development of the entire district.
In accordance with this gentle man
understanding, late senator Ibiapuye Martins
Yellow from Kalabari was elected through the
ballot to represent the zone in 1999, he spent
two tenures and the Kalabaris allowed the
Orashis to produce the next senator and so
Senator Wilson Asinobi Ake was elected in
same manner and he too spent another two
terms.
The emergence of the ousted immediate past
6 months senator was not a product of the
ballot and he never had the mandate of the
people, he only emerged through the back
door in an attempt to thwart the rotation and
he was shown the exit door by the tribunals
and so he does not count.
Now is the turn of the Riverine to produce the
senator to represent the Rivers West
senatorial zone and RT HON OTELEMABA
DAN AMACHREE is the right man for the
seat.
As we await INEC to announce a date for the
forthcoming legislative rerun in Rivers state,
We call on all lovers of Justice and Kalabari
to set aside sentiment of party affiliation and
support/vote for RT HON OTELE DAN
AMACHREE of the APC for the Rivers West
Senatorial district.
We trust in the ability and capacity of Rt Hon
Otelemaba Dan Amachree and we are
convinced that he has the required legislative
experience, knowledge and leadership skills to
represent us at the Nigerian senate.
